Gameplay No Man exploring one of the game's city environments The game was released on Windows, macOS, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on March 26, 2021. The game follows the main character, No Man as he visits different parts of the universe while trying to save his love. A light 7/10, pick it up if you don't bother with gameplay mechanics and challenges in games.Genesis Noir is an adventure video game developed by American studio Feral Cat Den. Throughout the whole game I couldn't even catch a glimpse of why I was doing something and what was the reason for X thing to happen after, but at the end I knew what I was doing, the story doesn't magically explain itself completely by the end, it simply alligns just enough at that exact moment for a brief down to world couple of scenes and creates a relief sensation from all the craze. The subjectiveness is such that it is hard to mantain attention for long periods of time and I do like abstract games, and lastly, the whole game sets a tone, just for it all to be broken by the end and create a narrative that ACTUALLY MAKES A BIT OF SENSE, I really couldn't believe myself when the part that made me get hooked and want more was almost at the last chapter and there on. The story + explanation of the game hardly even makes sense or alligns, you really grasp at straws to understand what the fuck is happening, and it feels really dragged out, because you get the idea really early on, yet the game keeps acting as much of it is a mystery. Although here comes the bad parts, it is not a game, I compare it mostly to GRIS, the first game I played that didn't feel like a game, but this one is worse, it definitely could be played on Netflix some years from now. Sound design is impeccable, the visuals are so unique I will struggle to find a game that is close to similar. The absolute perfect attributes of Genesis Noir are the visuals and the soundtrack, both paired together were 100/10, I haven't ever seen a game or movie that made this connection SO perfectly and both could stand out as they are rich by themselves. 6h 33m PlayedI hardly know what to feel about this game, it is decent, I think, but the problem is that the only thing that kept me going was knowing the game had roughly 6 hours, just that. ![]()
